Stara Gora Vintage Vehicle Club

Under one shared brand, three distinct boutique tourism experiences have been created, bringing together the natural, cultural and technical heritage of Stara Gora and the wider Prlekija region. Each experience has its own central story and a unique way of discovering the destination: on vintage bicycles, on vintage motorcycles, or through living technical heritage.

All three experiences share the same core values: authenticity, personal guiding, small groups, active guest participation, a sustainable approach, and close cooperation with the local community.

Slow down for a few hours and discover Prlekija in a slightly different way. On a vintage bicycle, in a small group and accompanied by a local guide, you will explore the countryside, where the journey itself becomes an important part of the experience.

From Stara Gora, you will cycle towards Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici and Lake Blaguš, where local stories, peaceful nature and time to relax await you. The route continues to Kocbek Mill, where you will discover part of the region’s milling and culinary heritage.

After returning to Stara Gora, you will also visit the Museum of Vintage Agricultural Machinery and get a glimpse into the lives of past generations.

The experience combines nature, cultural heritage, local stories and a touch of nostalgia, allowing you to discover Prlekija slowly and authentically.

Discover Prlekija with a little more character – on vintage Jawa and Ural motorcycles, including a motorcycle with a sidecar, evoking the true nostalgia of a bygone era.

The experience begins in Stara Gora, where you will discover the stories behind the motorcycles before setting off with a local guide on a scenic ride along the country roads of Prlekija.

The route takes you past Lake Blaguš, Kocbek Mill and selected scenic and cultural landmarks, with stops along the way to hear local stories and learn more about the life, traditions and character of the region.

A special highlight is the ride in a motorcycle sidecar – one of those memorable moments you will definitely want to capture on camera.

The experience combines technical heritage, scenic riding, local stories and the authentic Prlekija countryside into an unforgettable adventure for a small group.

Step back into a time when rural life was shaped by the first tractors, agricultural machinery, wooden carts and volunteer firefighting.

The experience begins at the museum in Stara Gora, where a local guide brings the everyday life and work of past generations to life through objects and stories. But here, heritage is not something you only observe behind a museum display.

You will get up close to a vintage Steyr or Bulldog tractor and enjoy a short ride on a wooden cart. You will hear the sound of old engines and discover how these machines once transformed life in the countryside.

You will also see a vintage fire engine and hear stories about the tradition of volunteer firefighting, an important part of rural community life. The experience can also be complemented by a short ride on vintage bicycles.

“Along the Paths of the Old Days” is an opportunity to see, hear and experience technical heritage as it once truly lived.

Discover Prlekija’s beautiful wine roads, scenic viewpoints and hidden corners in a comfortable and sustainable way.

Modern electric bikes are available for hire, allowing you to explore the rolling countryside, vineyards and nearby attractions with ease.

The cycling routes take you through picturesque villages, past local wine cellars and towards some of the most beautiful views in eastern Slovenia.

Team Building with the Country Women of Prlekija

Experience the traditions of Prlekija through authentic interaction with local women who preserve the region’s rich culinary heritage.
During this two-hour workshop, you will discover how traditional dishes are prepared, learn the secrets of homemade cuisine and hear stories passed down from generation to generation.
Together, you will cook, taste and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the countryside.

The highlight of the experience is preparing and tasting the famous Prleška gibanica, along with other local specialities.
